I’d forgotten about that! And I’d help a friend in need again in a heartbeat and forget again just as quickly. :)

Thanks for writing this post, Rob. And more thanks for everything you have done to help out against COVID-19.

Finally, I want to thank you for the time that you offered to help me out at a PASS Summit several years ago. Maybe you don't remember this, but I sure do! I was trying to check-in at the Seattle Sheraton when I realized that I didn't have my wallet (so no ID, no credit cards, and no money).

I had just gotten out of a car service ride from the airport, and my wallet was in the car as it drove away. I didn't realize this until I tried to check-in, and I couldn't find my wallet! In a momentary panic, I was trying to figure what to do. You overheard what was happening, and offered to check me in on your credit card.

As it turned out, I was able to contact the car service, and the driver found my wallet and drove back to return it to me (which earned him a very nice tip). Nonetheless, I knew that you were willing to help me if I needed it. That meant a lot to me. Thank you!
